Refurbishment at Wimbledon Theatre enhances audience comfort and safety
Refurbishment of The Wimbledon Theatre included reconstruction of the Upper Circle. The theatre is a Grade 1 Listed building and the new design required detailed consultations with English Heritage and the local authority. Audience sightlines and safety were greatly improved and a new lighting gallery was installed. Audience comfort was enhanced by installing new fixed seating for over 300 people, replacing the original cushions and concrete tiers
One of several multi-screen cinema conversions for Robin Cinemas in which a single auditorium was converted into two cinemas and the entire cinema refurbished. Acoustics and sightlines were enhanced and new fixed seating installed to improve audience comfort. Foyers were redesigned to improve sales of food and drink and increase profitability
Cinema conversion provides a second screen
